Stefan Uroš II Milutin (Serbian Cyrillic: Стефан Урош II Милутин, romanized: Stefan Uroš II Milutin; c. 1253 – 29 October 1321), known posthumously as "the Holy King" (Свети краљ), was the King of Serbia between 1282–1321, a member of the Nemanjić dynasty. He was one of the most powerful rulers of Serbia in the Middle Ages and one of the most prominent European monarchs of his time. Milutin is credited with strongly resisting the efforts of Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos to impose Roman Catholicism on the Balkans after the Union of Lyons in 1274. During his reign, Serbian economic power grew rapidly, mostly due to the development of mining. He founded Novo Brdo, which became an internationally important silver mining site. As most of the Nemanjić monarchs, he was proclaimed a saint by the Serbian Orthodox Church with a feast day on October 30.

Helena Doukaina Angelina (Greek: Ἑλένη Δούκαινα Άγγελίνα, Helene Doukaina Angelina; Serbian: Jelena Duka Anđel) was a Greek noblewoman of Thessaly and Queen-consort of medieval Serbia.

Her parents were John I Doukas of Thessaly and his wife Hypomone (a daughter of the Thessalian Vlach chieftain Taronas). In ca. 1273/76, Helena married Serbian king Stefan Milutin (r. 1282–1321), but Milutin abandoned her in ca. 1283. It is possible that their sons were Kings Stefan Konstantin and Stefan Dečanski. It seems Helena then returned to Greece.

Elizabeth of Hungary (Hungarian: Erzsébet, Serbian: Јелисавета/Jelisaveta; c. 1255 – c. 1322), also known as Blessed Elizabeth the Widow (Hungarian: Árpádházi Boldog Erzsébet), was a Hungarian princess member of the Árpád dynasty and (briefly and disputed) Queen consort of Serbia. Since childhood, she was veiled as a nun, but she was married twice, and both times she was kidnapped by her husbands, Bohemian magnate Záviš of Falkenstein and King Stefan Uroš II Milutin of Serbia. Both husbands were in an unacceptable degree of kinship with Elizabeth from a canonical point of view: the marriage with Záviš of Falkenstein was not recognized by the Hungarian Church, and the marriage with Stefan Uroš II Milutin was not recognized by the Serbian Church. Nevertless, Elizabeth was venerated by the Hungarian Church as Blessed, while her scandalous marriage history is almost never mentioned in the later accounts of her life.

Анна (Ана) Тертер (около 1279 — умерла после 1304) — дочь болгарского царя Георгия I Тертера, сестра царя Феодора Святослава Тертера. В первом браке Анна была третьей или четвёртой женой короля Стефана Уроша II Милутина, во втором — женой деспота Эпира Дмитрия Дуки Комнина.

Симонида (грч. Σιμωνις; Константинопољ, 1294 — Константинопољ, после 1345. године) била је ћерка византијског цара Андроника II Палеолога и четврта супруга српског краља Стефана Уроша II Милутина Немањића.

Цар Андроник II је 1299. године, понудио српском краљу Милутину руку своје малолетне кћери, као гаранцију мира и пријатељства између Византије и Србије. Краљица Симонида је умрла после 1345. године, као монахиња.

Њена необична судбина и лепота су били инспирација многим уметницима. Песник Милан Ракић је написао поему „Симонида“, а Милутин Бојић је написао драму „Краљева јесен“. Астероид 1675 Симонида који је открио астроном Милорад Б. Протић је добио име по краљици Симониди Немањић.
